Sheffield's club for British classics — BSA, Triumph, Norton and the rest, built before 1985, ridden hard today.
Who we are
We're Classic Iron MCC. We own, restore and ride British motorcycles made before 1985 — BSA, Triumph, Norton, AJS, Velocette. Some of our bikes are show-ready. Plenty are in bits. All of them matter.
We meet monthly at the Cocked Hat, ride into Derbyshire and the Peaks all summer, and argue about magneto timing the rest of the year. Just bought your first classic? Running or not, bring it. You've found the right people.

No committees worth dreading. Just bikes, roads, and people who know their way around a seized engine.
First-rate company, terrible opinions on carburettors, and someone who's already fixed whatever's wrong with your bike.
Proper Sunday rides through Derbyshire — old roads, old bikes, and a café stop where the car park fills with chrome.
Stuck on pre-unit electrics or hunting a gearbox part? Decades of collective experience, freely shared.
Once a year, members roll out their best work — frame-up rebuilds, barn finds brought back, and the bikes that nearly beat us.
Restoration timelines, wiring fixes, parts-hunting tips and the best roads out of Sheffield — written by members who've done it.
Suppliers, patterns and the forums where people still know what they're talking about.

Running or not, it counts. Come along to the next meet at the Cocked Hat and see what we're about.
