Peaks Fell Runners

What's on

Club runs, races and the odd long day out on the tops.

A man participates in a trail marathon, running through rugged terrain in bright sunlight.

The calendar

Two fixtures, rain or shine

Wednesday evenings from the Nag's Head are the heartbeat of the club — headtorches in winter, golden-hour ridges in summer. Most Saturday mornings we go longer and higher: Kinder, Win Hill, the Skyline route in pieces.

On top of that there's a steady drip of fell races through the year. Some of us race hard; most of us race for the cake at the finish.

Expansive heather fields in the English countryside, showcasing vivid purple hues under a cloudy sky.

The kinds of days we do

W

Wednesday club runs

An hour or so on the moors above Edale, with regroups built in and the pub waiting at the end.

S

Saturday long runs

Bigger routes at a chatty pace — bring a map, a butty and no particular hurry.

F

Fell races

We field runners at races across the Peak, from short blasts to the Edale Skyline itself.

W

Winter headtorch runs

Dark, muddy and weirdly popular — kit advice provided before your first one.

Next run: Wednesday, 7pm, the Nag's Head

New faces always welcome — just turn up with shoes that don't mind mud.
